In the late 1970s, in Paracuán, a turbulent oil town in Mexico, young Lieutenant Vicente Rangel (Leonardo Ortizgris) faces the darkest days of his life as he tries to capture “El Chacal,” a serial killer of young girls who hides behind a network of corruption and power.

Mario Muñoz is a director who turns his creativity into ideas for advertising, film, and animation. He founded Voces Imaginarias in 1997, through which he has produced successful and award-winning campaigns for some of the most important clients and agencies in Mexico and around the world.His two feature films, Bajo la Sal, produced by Warner Brothers and premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival, and Los Minutos Negros, have received awards and selections at festivals worldwide.In 2024, he directed the first documentary for Fundación Teletón titled No lo Cambiaría, as well as the campaign Tenemos que Hablar for Fundación Freedom, which was part of the official selection at the prestigious Annecy Animation Festival in 2025.
